Head of High Content Screening (HCS)

We are seeking an independent and motivated scientist to lead, develop and provide high content screening (HCS) assays for the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine and the wider campus.

The postholder will work independently to utilise and manage the Operetta screening platform. He/she has the exciting opportunity to work across CRUK-funded labs and the wider campus to establish in a coordinated manner cell-based phenotypic assays that can be exploited in studies of normal and tumour-derived stem cells (neural, liver and blood lineages). Also the postholder will be involved in quantitative tissue analysis.

Although you will be based at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine, we are also seeking somebody who can also act in a strategic role to establish co-ordinated screening efforts with other groups at the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre.

Imaging Facility Manager

We are seeking an experienced imaging facility manager to oversee and co-ordinate the management of the multi-user (internal and external users) facility for digital imaging and time-lapse microscopy, servicing all optical imaging requirements for 250 research staff and post graduate students at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day financial management and the long term financial sustainability of the service. The candidate should have a proven track record of running successful imaging facilities in an academic setting.
