High Content Screening

High Content Screening

Summary

The High Content Screening facility contains equipment for assay development (throughput and miniaturisation), high throughput imaging and subsequent high content data analysis for internal and external users.

Description

The facility provides the potential for a complete semi-automated workflow for increased assay throughput and screening. This includes sterile cell seeding and media changes, reagent addition and staining of 96 and 384 well plates. Imaging and analysis can be performed on any multiwell plates (6-1584 well) or slides. An example workflow is shown in the schematic. Equipment can also be reconfigured and booked independently for custom workflows.

This facility is managed by Dr  Justyna Cholewa-Waclaw, e-mail: scrm-hcs@ed.ac.uk.

Equipment information: see links for further information.

The facility is spread between imaging (G.46 & G.45) and a high throughput cell culture room (1.52). Samples of multi-well plates and dyes are available upon request.
